Jas joined Derbyshire County Council as a Business Adviser in 2021, bringing with her a wealth of experience in sales, risk assessment, business ownership, and commercial management.

A qualified Chartered Insurer with the Royal Chartered Insurance Institute in London, Jas began her professional journey with a Quick Start Award for exceptional sales performance at Nexus Advice LLP, Dubai International. She subsequently progressed from sales into risk assessment with Zurich International, developing valuable expertise in identifying, assessing, and managing business risks.

Jas has also gained first-hand experience as a business owner. After acquiring a 40-year-old traditional bakery operating across there large High Street units, she navigated the practical realities of running and growing a business. This included managing employment contracts, understanding TUPE regulations, dealing with VAT, and reviewing and proofreading commercial lease agreements.

This combination of professional expertise and hands-on business ownership gives Jas a practical understanding of the challenges faced by start-ups.

Jas is passionate about sharing her won start-and-sustain journey, supporting entrepreneurs to tourn their ideas into viable business and helping them develop, adapt, and grow into innovative and sustainable enterprises.
