East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) is hosting a focused employer workshop as part of the national Keep Britain Working vanguard. We are bringing together a small group of local employers, with a particular welcome to SMEs, to help shape a practical approach to workplace health and workforce sustainability.
This workshop will explore how workplaces can better support people to stay well, stay in work and return to work after illness, focusing on approaches that genuinely work for employers of all sizes.
What we’ll cover:
During this interactive session, employers will:
- Hear from the Keep Britian Working team and explore the Healthy Working Lifecycle, a framework covering: Recruitment & Onboarding, Prevention Stay in Work, Return to Work, and Redeployment
- Share examples of good practice already happening in the region
- Discuss real‑world challenges, especially for SMEs
- Identify one Lifecycle stage to take forward into deeper development
- Help build an evidence base on what genuinely helps employers and employees
This session is ideal for staff responsible for HR, recruitment, and employee retention and marks the start of an ongoing conversation as EMCCA is a vanguard region shaping the future of workforce health and employment models.
