Derby City Council Apprenticeships Levy Transfer

Derby City Council is transferring 50% of the apprenticeship levy to employers looking to recruit apprentices or up skill their existing workforce.

Any business can apply for a levy transfer but must meet the following criteria:

• The business applying for levy transfer has its head office based within the Derby City Council area. Consideration may be made if the head office is elsewhere, if you have a site or office in the city, and the apprentice will be based or employed there.
• The business meets the requirements of the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) for transfer – as per the levy transfer checklist, has signed the ESFA Agreement, have completed the application form and agreed to the terms and conditions.
