Made Smarter East Midlands

Made Smarter East Midlands provides fully funded advice, support and grant funding to manufacturing businesses across the region to help cut costs, save time and unlock growth through proven digital technologies.

Eligible SME and micro businesses may access:

• Tailored one-to-one advice, leadership and skills support

The funding below has now been fully spent however, businesses can complete an Expression of Interest (EOI) now to access support in the 2026–27 programme

• Grant funding for equipment and specialist advice to implement digital change, up to £20,000, 50% match funding required 
• Grant funding to support investment in hands-on team training, up to £20,000, match funding required
• Fully funded digital internships

The support includes to one-to-one advice from digital experts, a practical roadmap for change, leadership development programme, skills support, fully funded HR consultancy support and fully funded digital internships. These internships match manufacturers with talented students and graduates to explore digital projects without long-term commitment or cost.
