About The UpScaler Project
UpScaler is delivered as a partnership between the East Midlands Chamber and Nottingham Business School at Nottingham Trent University, and is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
UpScaler has been supporting scaling small and medium sized businesses for nearly a year, and has just welcomed its 100th member.
As part of the support on offer, clients are provided with a diagnostic review from specialist business advisers, leading to a series of tailored support, including access to coaching grants, strategic leader workshops, Growth Forums and a pool of experienced high growth business coaches.
The project’s Strategic Leader Workshops have covered a range of topics crucial to the high growth business cohort such as: creating a growth roadmap, strategic marketing and financial management. These workshops are full-day sessions, delivered by experienced facilitators, aimed at providing delegates with tangible, working action points that they can execute in their own businesses.
In contrast, the forums are half-day sessions, allowing delegates to explore challenging topics, and learn from and network with like-minded peers.
Eligibility
- Scale-up businesses - businesses with between 10 and 249 people, turnover between £1m- £45m and annual growth of 20%+ for the last three years.
- Potential scale-up businesses - businesses with between 10 and 249 people, a turnover of £1m- £45m and that have achieved annual growth of 10%+ for the last three years or 20% + for the last two years.
- Ambitious businesses – SMEs that do not fit the criteria above but can achieve some or all of the scale-up characteristics outlined below.
Upcoming Events
