Futures and EMCCA Careers Hub new pilot supporting NEET

As a local employer could you help young people in your community choose their future career?
Futures is working with the EMCCA Careers Hub and the East Midlands Combined County Authority on a new pilot supporting 200+ local students who are at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training).
Over 65% of these young people have never experienced a real workplace and may not see working life modelled at home.
What they’re asking is simple:
They’re looking for local businesses to host a small group of 5 students for just 2 hours. This could simply include:
- A brief tour of your workplace
- Meeting staff and hearing about their jobs
- A mini-interactive task
- Seeing what a typical day looks like for an entry level role in your business
- A chance to ask questions about the industry
It’s a small commitment that can make a huge difference to confidence and aspirations of our future workforce.
