The proposal will deliver a targeted 3-month pilot to inform and shape digital training opportunities for those aged 19+ in the Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire area.
It will also inform wider preparation for the National Skills Fund from 2021 onwards.
The East Midlands Combined County Authority Digital Skills Employer Engagement event, being held online from 14:30 on 30 July will be led by the LEP Skills team and will be of interest to employers who have challenges in sourcing digital skills for their business/work.
Skills gaps in a wide range of digital roles including, programmers, web developers, system technicians, cybersecurity and analytics professionals or design roles can all be considered as part of the pilot.

Questions to consider will be shared with those attending in advance to allow for discussions including ideas around employer involvement, ideas around delivery, and how to best reach individuals with protected characteristics.
